Baptism is a public announcement that we are a new creation in Christ Jesus. When you are baptized it is your proclamation that Jesus is your everything and are one with Him! The act of being baptized symbolizes your identification with Christ in three areas: His death you are immersed in the water ; His burial being under the water ; and lastly but most significant, His resurrection when you come out of the water.
We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The church is the heart of Jesus Christ. We are ambassadors of who He is on earth. Maranatha Community Church is called to proclaim the truth about Jesus Christ, the savior of the world.
We strive to introduce the whole gospel to those who have never heard it and build on the foundation that has been given to those who already have salvation in Christ. As God provides us the opportunity to carry out His mission, we desire to represent Him with love, generosity and humility.
We are a body of broken people who have come together to join in worship through teaching, prayer, community and service Acts Together, we carry the burdens of this world as we strive for deeper faith and understanding of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
